Citrix
Citrix is a networking solutions company that is transforming the way businesses connect, meet, learn and collaborate in the cloud era. The design team’s strategy for Citrix’s new research and development facility was closely aligned with their position as leading advocate of the flexible work environment. The design focuses on providing areas for collaboration between staff, as well as between staff and clients, while also providing productive workspace for employees. Detailing throughout the fitout supports new workplace practices and ensures familiarity and comfort wherever work is taking place. Slick minimal finishes in the boardroom and client meeting areas are aligned with the technical ethos of Citrix. Patterned carpet is a feature with its geometric shapes contrasting with clean white walls, composite joinery and structured timber ceiling.
Supporting new workplace practices
Herman Miller worksettings and seating were used throughout open office areas. Enclosed workspaces were set up for use as meeting zones when unoccupied and separate quiet rooms opened off the general office area. Storage lockers provide colour and interest along the core and pinnable panels were added to create interest as well as improve acoustics. The design has creatively aligned the reception work area, boardroom and breakout areas to maximise the crossover between employee and client-facing areas, successfully creating an inviting, flexible and innovative work environment which reflects the ethos of Citrix.
