This retirement village in Tawa, Wellington, needed a multifunctional communal lounge space where residents could socialise and entertain; where they could feel comfortable and at home – and easily maneuver furniture to suit different needs.

Studio Design + Architecture’s vision was for a classic Huka Lodge look and feel that would remain smart and up-to-date for years. We used texture, layers and colour to add depth and contrast as well as a richness to the space.
