NZTE occupy two large floorplates within a CBD building in Auckland. Rather than relocate to a new building NZTE decided upon making better use of their existing space and undertaking an extensive refresh of their offices. SDA worked closely with the client to delicately balance the existing elements to remain with the new refresh direction.
SD+A was engaged in a traditional design consultancy role where we consulted, planned, designed and detailed the works for tender. We worked with government preferred suppliers for furniture procurement and we went through a rigorous selection process with full involvement from the client team .This allowed the products selected to be tested and agreed.
NZTE were fortunate enough to have a ‘swing floor’ which enabled contractors to complete spaces with staff temporarily relocated, and Covid lockdown to be able to complete work without too many staff affected.
