Studio Design + Architecture were commissioned to work with Generous Group to transform former Veterans Hospital Ranfurly House into the community centre for Ranfurly Retirement Village.

We turned the spaces into a large lounge and bar area, a restaurant, and a café with outdoor deck areas. Upstairs we designed a cinema, craft room and flexible exercise room along with toilet facilities. The entry hall had staff offices and meeting spaces for residents. The building had a heritage order that required working with a heritage consultant for some areas.
