Newmarket White + Wong’s is on the top floor of the rooftop dining precinct of the new Westfield Shopping Mall and it seats 180 inside and 200 outside. Studio Design + Architecture were asked to design the new 380 seat restaurant refining the design to come up with the next generation of the White + Wong’s distinctive brand. There are a variety of seating/ dining types and zones broken up by design, layout and finishes with a bar as the centre piece.

This restaurant bar backs onto Sardine, a bar owned by the same company sharing services and creating an island which breaks up the space. The vibrant finishes, use of the double height space and different zones creates an experience for all diners. Working with Scentre Group and the consultant team that comes with large projects was a part of the process that Studio Design + Architecture are very comfortable with due to our larger commercial projects. It has been a very successful outcome and the restaurant numbers are exceeding expectations.
